The owner of this place is by far the most rude human I’ve ever done business with. I went in today for training which went by smooth until the owner walked in and hounded me to give him business for another location before I would be given access to the cloud based reporting. If I have a business I should be able to access my reporting from anywhere in the world but with this POS system you can’t. Learning to use the back office you’ll need months and months of training b/c it’s not user friendly at all. I went weeks of losing money because my menu wasn’t setup correctly. There so called 24 hour tech support is even worse. You call and there rushing you off the phone and email is the way they’ll fix anything. If your not so tech savy please run far because this pos system is not easy and everything that needs to be fixed has to be done thru them. I could have lived with all of this until today I told the owner my KDS monitor in my kitchen doesn’t work (and this was reported several times to there tech support). The owner tells me he can’t take the machine back because I didn’t call him directly. I run multiple business So Why should I have to keep calling about a Faulty Machine. The POs system has also freezed up a few times in the middle of helping customers. This device should make life easier but to be honest running a business has been the worst since switching to them. I regret not going with another company but after my treatment today I won’t be using Meridian Star. One of the owners staff basically told me to get out and that they didn’t need my business and then slammed the door in my face. I felt so humiliated and disrespected. I’ve never in 13 yrs of running a business been treated like this. I’m just happy they showed there true colors and I didnt make the mistake of setting all 5 stores up with them.
Their customer service is untouchable - they are always there for you if you need something. They put your best interests first and they want you to be as successful as possible. Much love to Brandon and Jim Stokes!

Really reliable plus they have the the best customer service! I’ve had some terrible experiences with other companies like Toast but MStar has been so easy to work with as we grow our business.

System is very user friendly, and support is always prompt. They can access your system remotely to fix any issue which in a busy restaurant is huge. Our rep Brandon W. is awesome and goes above and beyond for his customers. He always is there to answer whatever questions we have.

Great POS and the best in the world support team.
I used to have another one, however, their customer service is horrible. That's why I switched to Meridian Star and I LOVE it. Very grateful for a free installation and a free online ordering website that integrates with the POS. Brandon and his team are the rock. If needed, they are always addressing an issue and resolve it asap.

They shared previous owners information to me and proceed to tell me that they are glad that I wasn’t going to continue with them because I wasn’t going to make a lot of money for them. Super unprofessional! Not 1 stars THIS REVIEW IS FOR ZERO STARS.

Meridian star Just had Meridian Star POS installed in my restaurant. Top notch service. Our tech Mike was so professional and courteous. he was helpful and knowledgeable. Highly recommend this company and all the staff who help this transition be smooth

They started out as a great company, however in January of 2020 I saw a discrepancy in my bank statements vs the transaction statements provided by Shift 4 payments that prompted me to go back through a lot of my statements. It turns out that I had been over billed each month. I tried to talk to Meridian Star first to see if I could switch processors, but both managers were on a two week vacation. The fact that both decision makers for a company are willing to take vacations at the same time and leave customers vulnerable says a lot about a company and how much they care about customer service. From there it was a snowball effect of not having my questions answered as to why I was over billed. Being berated over the phone by one of the manager's Brandon and realizing that I had been locked into a contract with Shift 4 payments that would have financial consequences if broken.
Bottom line used to be a great company but too many behind the scenes practices designed to charge you more money than you see at first. If you do business with either company I urge you to go back through your bank statements and merchant statements to make sure that they match up and no over billing is being done to you.
Update: 7/24/20
As I did state in my email, I was wrong in my math as far as how much I was overcharged. I was still overcharged, but to a lesser dollar amount that I had first thought.
The 1 star review still stands due to the awful customer service I received from both Meridian Star and Shift 4 payments when trying to get answers to my issues. Truly awful customer service and I don’t recommend them at all.

I had the pleasure of working with Meridian Star when the sports bar I was working at purchased a new POS system through them. From the moment we picked up the phone to inquire about the system, to the fast and super clean install and to the training and consistent support, all of these guys are top notch! Our system needed a lot of customization which they handled with ease and it's worked so extremely well for us! Recommend them in a heartbeat - you cannot beat the quality system and by far superior support!

We recently installed a new POS system with Meridian Star Pos. The whole team, especially Michael and Christian were very professional and attentive. The setup for the system was much quicker then expected and training has been pretty much smooth. The system can be customized to your restaurants needs.

We used to have Micros and they do not answer their phones. We reached out to Meridian Star and it was the best and easiest decision we made. Urban cantina in Tampa is now able to run properly.

We opened a pizza place in 2017. We initially got a Clover and it was a piece of ****. Meridian Star POS came in and not only saved us money but completely fixed our issues. Their Point of Sale is the best and we highly recommend them. From all your friends, thanks!

Meridian Star is the best company that The Lobster Shack does Business with. They are very professional,helpful and they always have a tech on the clock in case of a emergency. I would highly recommend Meridian Star POS to any business. They are the only POS company I ever have and will use. They are great!

Meridian Star POS consistently delivers top notch equipment and customer support. We switched to their system almost a year ago & it was a great decision! They customized a system specifically to our needs, delivered, set up and trained our staff in an extremely tight turn time. When we've encountered issues, they've been fast to react and resolve. Great group of people that we've always been able to rely on. Couldn't be happier with our system!

They offer great support and service every time I need to make an adjustment I simply email them and within 24 hours everything has been updated.... from a simple price change to a complete menu overhaul.... they always answer the phone when I call no matter what day or time... I have worked with several different point of sale companies in the past and this is by far the best!!!

From beginning to end my experience with Meridian Star was outstanding. From their customer service being so helpful and knowledgable to their actual product being so high quality and economic I was blown away. I learned things I never would have thought of and avoided very costly mistakes that would have really been detrimental to my retail business. You're going to have a good experience here.
