Our company has been using ShopBoss for over 6 years now. Those 6 years we've seen 3 outages which were directly related to major Amazon AWS outages. The communication was great and the issue was resolved as quickly as possible. We've used RO Writer, Protractor, NAPATrax, and Mitchell1 and I can say with confidence ShopBoss has a key features that put it above their competitors. They are rich in features and development unlike RO Writer, NAPATrax, or Mitchell1. They are easy to use and very intuitive unlike Protractor. We have grown from 3 shops to 25 and they have made scaling very easy for us. They have continually gone above and beyond in being open to feedback and constantly evolving to be one of the best Automotive POS's in the industry. Brian, Matt, and Mudit are doing great things in the automotive POS space and I look forward to many more years using them.
Reached out to this company for their management software. At first glance and during the demo, the program seemed to be the better choice among those available to auto shop owners.
However after 3 months of calling and requesting to have our data mitigated over to their platform, we still have no response.
Cancelling the account and asking for a refund would be justified in this case. But shopboss support would just continue to pass you around suggesting call backs as they “looked into it”.
The product looked good. I’m sure the platform - if we had ever had the chance to use it - would have been a great fit. But for the fact that the backend team can’t get it together to even answer a support request or to refund our money is ridiculous.
We’re still trying to get an answer as to how our refund would be processed. What a joke. Don’t waste your time - stick to the tried and true.

Always very helpful on chat -- they answer right away and are never rushing me and always are making feel heard. They have called me before too and shared emails -- really great support. Great customer service and always willing to help.

Needed my reports to show differently due to the small size of my company, and within minutes, they were able to get a custom report ordered to show exactly what I needed! Excellent Service!

Great program and even better customer service. Quick response times, and they will go out of there way to add or change something in their program to custom fit to your needs!

I have been in this trade for 20 years and have never had a program so easy and intuitive as this. The staff is extremely helpful and always gives the right advise every time. Tech support is done by online chat and its effective as it gets. Melissa Newman and the other support staff is always there for us and we get exactly what we need every time. I'm super impressed.

Great system ! I moved away from my previous system due to changes beyond my control. Looked at many different systems, even tried another one for a bit. Although people are raving about them, they didn't deliver. Looked closer into ShopBoss. Went with them and could not be happier. I just got a service writer with experience and he is blown away at how powerful and easy to use. He kept saying, it can't be that easy. I mentioned, that's how I've been able to run the shop with 2 techs so long without a service writer. Parts integration is smooth and automatic appointment reminders to my customers is great. It's taken a load off my wife who does the accounting with the invoices and payments rolling over to quickbooks with that integration. Wouldn't think of switching away.
